"Ever since I was a child, I have always admired the beautiful water lilies blooming in muddy ponds. And this admiration is seen in my artworks.

My work explores the relationship between reality and the imagination of the viewer. It involves lots of colour layers and textures and is influenced by a touch of contemporary form. I trust my inner voice and allow it to guide me through the creative process".

Hi, I'm Amita; a self-taught artist from Hubli, India.
I always wanted to pursue art because that would make me feel content. But I ended up doing engineering and subsequently a corporate job.

What started off as a hobby close to my heart, turned into a part of my daily life when I quit my job in the corporate back in 2010. When life gave me another chance at being an artist, I couldn't have asked for more.
